Hawa Mahal
This monument has become an icon of Jaipur. The exterior structure of Hawa Mahal is more famous and is often seen first when you enter it. It has five storeys and 953 small windows. These were built for the royal women who would view the processions, and festivals, and peer through these windows onto the streets below to view the daily life of Jaipur. The windows have exceptional lattice work and would let the air flow through them and cool the inner chambers.
Jaipur City Palace
This is a huge palace complex where you can view the finest palaces in Jaipur. Jaipur City Palace is a first-class example of Rajput architecture. The museum in Jaipur City Palace has innumerable exhibits ranging from royal costumes, spears, swords, coins, and medieval objects. The most impressive feature of Jaipur City Palace is the enormous courtyards. The sandstone architecture of Jaipur City Palace is a feast for your eyes. The various places to visit in Jaipur City Palace are Chandra Mahal, Baggi Khana, Diwan-I-Khas, Maharani Palace, and Mubarak Mahal.
Jal Mahal
Jal Mahal is such a popular Jaipur monument that it features in most Jaipur tour packages. The magnificent palace is built in Man Sagar Lake and is one of its kind in Jaipur. You can only view the Jal Mahal from the outside. The remarkable feature of this palace is that three floors are submerged under water and only the top floor is above the surface of the water. Despite the water, the structure has remained intact till today and is a testimonial to the brilliant architectural finesse of the skilled artisans of those days.
Jantar Mantar
This is an ancient Indian astronomical observatory that was built by the founder of Jaipur, Sawai Jai Singh. It has 19 astronomical instruments which were built for studying the celestial bodies and measuring time.
